Role Overview
As a Senior ServiceNow Solution Architect, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of ServiceNow implementations from concept through deployment. Your primary focus will be transforming high-level architectural visions into actionable, low-level designs that development teams can execute with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of solution design, translating business needs into production-ready ServiceNow configurations
- Develop detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) from High-Level Designs (HLDs), ensuring clarity and technical feasibility
- Facilitate design workshops and architecture reviews with both business and technical stakeholders
- Provide ongoing guidance during development, testing, and deployment phases to maintain architectural integrity
- Ensure all solutions adhere to ServiceNow platform standards, security requirements, and enterprise-wide integration strategies
- Champion user-centered design principles to enhance system adoption and usability
- Design and oversee implementations in key modules including AI (Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, GenAI), GRC (Risk, Compliance, Controls), and CMDB
- Mentor developers on best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Serve as the primary technical authority for architectural decisions and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- 9–12 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on ServiceNow platforms
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect on enterprise ServiceNow projects
- Deep experience converting HLDs into executable LLDs and guiding technical teams
- Hands-on knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, CI classification, discovery, and service mapping
- Proficiency with ServiceNow’s UX frameworks, including Service Portal, Next Experience, and UI Builder
- Direct experience implementing AI features such as Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, and GenAI capabilities
- Familiarity with GRC modules including Risk, Compliance, Policy, and Controls
- Solid understanding of data modeling, workflow automation, integrations, and server-side scripting
- Experience managing end-to-end ServiceNow implementations in complex environments
- Strong collaboration skills with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business units
- Excellent documentation abilities for architecture diagrams, design decisions, and technical specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SecOps, ITSM, ESM, and CSM modules
- Background in AI strategy, automation frameworks, and generative AI use cases within ServiceNow
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Implementation Specialist credentials
- Worked in large-scale enterprise or global delivery settings
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies
- Knowledge of integration techniques using REST, MID Server, and external systems
- Strong communication and influence skills when working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to evaluate requirements critically and recommend optimized solutions
- Experience mentoring technical staff and improving team capabilities
- Structured problem-solving approach with keen attention to detail
- Ownership mentality with a focus on delivering designed solutions from start to finish
