About the Role
This role is responsible for leading Workday configuration tasks, supporting system upgrades, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable HR technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure Workday HCM modules according to business requirements
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to gather and analyze functional needs
- Develop and maintain configuration documentation and system standards
- Support testing activities including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and implement corrective solutions
- Lead change management efforts for Workday-related updates
- Ensure configurations comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Assist in the planning and execution of Workday upgrades and releases
- Provide expert guidance on Workday best practices and functionality
- Create training materials and conduct sessions for HR process owners
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Maintain security roles and access controls within Workday
- Develop and manage calculated fields, business processes, and reports
- Coordinate with external consultants and vendors as needed
- Participate in cross-functional project teams for HR initiatives
- Document technical specifications and configuration decisions
- Support audit readiness and compliance reporting requirements
- Evaluate new Workday features and assess organizational impact
- Translate business requirements into technical configuration plans
- Ensure data integrity across Workday integrations and interfaces
- Assist in developing long-term HR technology roadmaps
- Respond to escalated configuration-related inquiries
- Maintain version control for configuration changes
- Facilitate knowledge transfer within the HR systems team
