ThermoFisher is hiring a Senior UX Designer to develop outstanding digital experiences for our Genetic Sciences business. In this role, you will collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and engineers to create software designs that align with business goals and user needs. Our mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end UX development process from discovery and research to prototyping, testing, and final product delivery.
- Work with product managers, engineers, and collaborators to identify user requirements and build objectives.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform development decisions.
- Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate development intent clearly.
- Advocate for user-centered principles and accessibility guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of UX build standards and systems.
- Stay current with emerging build trends, tools, and technologies.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in UX development, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UX and UI development work.
- Proficiency in building and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive building.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Building, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience may be considered).
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Experience in life sciences or genetic sciences domain.
- Familiarity with UX metrics and data-driven development.
- Experience crafting for mobile and responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
