Lead the evolution of automated test systems for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) as a Senior Test Engineer. You will play a central technical role in shaping test strategies for new product prototypes and pilot builds, ensuring robust validation through In-Circuit and Flying Probe testing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in test speed, cost, and quality across automated PCBA testing processes.
- Collaborate with design teams to evaluate new product designs and provide actionable feedback on testability and test coverage requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, specifications, and documentation aligned with product design goals.
- Design electrical circuitry and work with vendors to build and validate test fixtures.
- Lead the procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of test equipment across global manufacturing sites.
- Create, debug, and maintain test software and hardware using standard platforms such as Keysight 3070 and Takaya systems.
- Implement advanced test methods including Boundary Scan, processor-controlled testing, and device programming.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to resolve test system issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Support production teams during critical downtime events with expert-level troubleshooting.
- Contribute to capital planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives for test engineering.
Qualifications
You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in test engineering environments. You have direct experience developing production test systems and working with In-Circuit and Flying Probe test platforms.
Preferred skills include proficiency with Test Expert or similar DFT analysis tools, programming in C, C++, C#, NI Test Stand, or Visual Basic, and the ability to interpret schematics and BOMs. Strong problem-solving abilities, self-direction, and fluency in English are essential.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with periodic travel of up to 10%. You will work within a collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
