Role Overview
This position is responsible for delivering proactive technical leadership to customers adopting Veeam-based data resilience and protection platforms across the Eastern Province. The ideal candidate will act as a technical liaison, guiding clients from post-sales through deployment and ongoing optimization, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical project oversight, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and progress reporting
- Advise on solution architecture, design, and configuration for Veeam deployments
- Estimate implementation effort and support delivery teams in meeting project milestones
- Diagnose and resolve post-installation challenges in complex IT environments
- Produce technical documentation such as solution blueprints, best practice guides, and custom configuration records
- Conduct on-site training and knowledge transfer sessions for customer teams
- Review existing infrastructure to recommend optimal setup and performance tuning
- Coordinate between customer stakeholders and internal support teams for seamless issue resolution
- Identify opportunities to expand solution adoption based on client needs
- Contribute feedback to improve internal processes and technical resources
- Travel and overnight stays as required to support project objectives
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of hands-on IT experience, with direct work in virtualization and data protection
- Certification such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or comparable expertise
- Familiarity with project management frameworks like Prince2, ITIL, or PMP
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record in consulting and managing technical projects
- Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities
- Deep understanding of VMware and Hyper-V environments
- Experience with modern storage platforms including Nimble, Nexsan, and Actifio
- Working knowledge of Fibre Channel, Ethernet, and cloud networking
- Familiarity with enterprise storage systems from vendors such as EMC, NetApp, IBM, Dell, and Hitachi
- Hands-on work with mission-critical applications like Exchange, SQL Server, and Oracle
- Background in data protection, data management, and analytics workflows
- Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Extensive knowledge of data center operations, business continuity, and operating systems
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Understanding of cloud architectures, protocols, and integration models
- Familiarity with security principles and technologies in enterprise settings
