Responsibilities
- Architect and develop core system components for blockchain platforms using C, C++, and Rust programming languages.
- Focus on deep systems analysis and robust implementation practices across the software stack.
- Collect and analyze requirements for services requiring high throughput and sub-200ms latency at p95; design distributed systems meeting 99.9% uptime commitments.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and profiling to optimize execution speed and resource usage.
- Define, version, and sustain both public-facing and internal APIs, including JSON-RPC and gRPC interfaces.
- Produce clear interface documentation and generate strongly typed client libraries for developer use.
- Work on secure networking protocols and cryptographic building blocks; create resilient ETL pipelines that convert blockchain events into optimized data stores for querying.
- Optimize database indexing strategies to enable fast, millisecond-level read operations.
- Manage provisioning and scaling of commodity server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Automate infrastructure via Terraform and Kubernetes, monitor system health and capacity, enforce SLOs, and modernize legacy systems with updated CI/CD pipelines.
- Help design systems with built-in fault tolerance, advanced debugging capabilities, comprehensive logging, and automated error recovery.
- Model economic mechanisms such as token incentives, fee auctions, and validator behaviors; develop simulation prototypes using agent-based modeling.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools, static analysis, and self-correcting operational runbooks to improve development velocity and reduce mean time to resolution.
- Analyze performance data to iteratively improve software components for memory and processing efficiency.
- Profile CPU, I/O, and network performance; conduct load testing; implement observability through metrics, tracing, and logging; lead incident reviews and capacity planning.
- Maintain a reliable set of APIs, SDKs, and development tools for external developers to integrate with the platform.
- Integrate cryptographic functions, secure key handling, vulnerability detection tools, and incident response procedures into system design.
- Author technical proposals, lead architecture reviews, guide junior engineers, and align delivery with product, infrastructure, and legal stakeholders.

- Collaborate on the development of secure, low-latency networking protocols and cryptographic primitives. Build fault-tolerant ETL pipelines that transform on-chain events into query optimized relational & NoSQL stores.
- Tune indexes for millisecond reads.
- Provision and scale commodity server fleets (on-prem & cloud).
- Automate with Terraform/Kubernetes, monitor health, capacity, and SLOs. Migrate legacy computing pipelines to modern CI/CD frameworks.
- Support the design of fault-tolerant systems with advanced debugging, logging, and error recovery functionality.
- Model token- economic incentives, auction fee markets, and validator/operator behaviors; prototype algorithms and run agent-based simulations.
- Leverage generative-AI coding agents, static analyzers, and self-healing runbooks to accelerate delivery and cut MTTR.

- Profile CPU, I/O, and network paths; execute load-tests; instrument metrics/tracing/logs; drive post-mortems and capacity plans.
- Maintain and manage a performant suite of APIs, SDKs, and developer tools for consumption by external developers.
- Integrate cryptographic primitives, secure key management, vulnerability scanning, and incident response playbooks.
- Write RFCs, lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate cross-functional delivery with product, infra, and legal teams.
