Responsibilities

  • Define and manage system-level requirements for autonomous capabilities
  • Develop models to simulate system behavior under diverse conditions

  • Conduct trade studies to evaluate design alternatives
  • Support development of test plans and validation procedures
  • Analyze system performance data to identify improvement areas

  • Guide verification and validation of autonomy functions
  • Participate in design reviews and technical decision-making
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues during testing phases
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture and interfaces
  • Work closely with field teams to assess real-world performance
  • Optimize system designs for scalability and maintainability
  • Apply systems engineering principles to complex integration challenges
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation planning

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with unmanned vehicle systems
  • Background in artificial intelligence or machine learning applications
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience in agile development environments
  • Knowledge of DOORS or similar requirements tools
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems
  • Prior work on defense acquisition programs
