About the Role
The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design and maintenance of robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure systems, working closely with development and operations teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable infrastructure solutions for high-traffic applications
- Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks
- Maintain server configurations across multiple environments
- Automate deployment and operational workflows using scripting tools
- Ensure system security through access controls and vulnerability management
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance
- Manage cloud resources and ensure cost efficiency
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery protocols
- Support CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure as code practices
- Enforce compliance with internal and external security standards
- Scale systems to meet growing user demands
- Document architecture decisions and operational procedures
- Evaluate new technologies for potential integration
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems
- Optimize network configurations for reliability and speed
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers
- Conduct root cause analysis for major outages
- Improve monitoring and alerting systems
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets
- Ensure seamless integration between legacy and modern systems
- Support migration efforts from on-premise to cloud platforms
- Promote best practices in system design and operations
- Assist in capacity planning and forecasting
- Contribute to post-mortem reviews after system incidents
