Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary owner for major gameplay features within the core loop of the game
- Develop deep understanding of the target audience, product objectives, and competitive environment to validate and refine design concepts
- Define and maintain the creative direction for assigned game systems while coordinating with engineering, animation, art, and production teams
- Partner with the Design Director to convert high-level vision into detailed feature specifications and coordinate QA efforts for playtesting
- Assess development progress and product quality, then collaborate with design and production leads on actionable execution strategies
- Advocate for the player perspective in all design and development decisions
- Continuously review and refine the product backlog by adding, refining, and prioritizing tasks
- Support the growth of junior designers through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Compensation
Base pay varies by location and is determined by relevant skills, experience, and business needs; total package may include bonus, equity, 401(K), and stock purchase options
