Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with preference for power systems focus
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in substation physical design for electric utilities
- Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire
Nice to Have
- Skilled in using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or comparable design software
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices for substation design, including IEEE, NESC, and utility-specific specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Capable of managing multiple assignments and guiding less experienced team members
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership potential to support professional growth
- Experience managing 3D-modeled substation projects using Autodesk Inventor
- Background in substation grounding analysis and use of CDEGS software
- Working knowledge of Agi32 for lighting design and illumination studies
