Responsibilities
- Provide front-end engineering and design consulting with potential interaction across global clients.
- Engage in travel as needed, reflecting the non-back-office nature of the position.
- Demonstrate leadership through example, value engineering, and proficiency in modern computational tools and operational oversight.
- Collaborate across disciplines and lead structural design teams to produce technically robust solutions compliant with international standards, ensuring rigorous review of all deliverables.
- Clarify project scope and specific requirements, then organize and direct teams to meet deadlines.
- Deliver advanced technical expertise in structural engineering, focusing on value-driven design for building projects.
- Familiarity with Integrated Project Delivery methods and technologies such as BIM is preferred.
- Identify and manage all quality and environmental factors to support efficient project execution.
- Take ownership of structural calculations and their accuracy.
- Perform structural analysis and design using both digital modeling and manual calculation methods.
- Support independent technical reviews of structural analyses completed by team members.
- Help manage project timelines and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to clients.
- Carry out structural design in accordance with current British Standards and Eurocodes.
- Show initiative in learning new competencies and understanding broader engineering implications of assigned work.
- Lead structural design efforts on MOD and defence-related projects, including supervision of engineers, graduates, and technicians as necessary.
