Lead and shape the future of cloud architecture by guiding a team of skilled solution architects focused on building secure, scalable, and efficient systems on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you’ll establish clear architectural direction across distributed teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term technical vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of architects, fostering professional growth through goal alignment, continuous feedback, and skill development initiatives.
- Define and uphold architectural pillars, governance models, and decision-making frameworks to ensure consistency and clarity across domains.
- Translate business requirements into sound technical designs, using Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to document rationale, trade-offs, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Design and implement cloud foundations covering identity & access management, security-by-design, compliance, cost optimization, observability, and reliability.
- Guide technology choices across the cloud spectrum—from IaaS to FaaS—balancing engineering effort, portability, and delivery speed.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and resilience are embedded in system designs.
- Champion modern software development practices, including secure coding, zero-trust security, threat modelling, and SRE principles like SLAs and resilience patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business priorities and delivery timelines.
- Communicate architecture effectively across levels—from executive summaries to deep-dive design sessions—and support planning and budgeting with technical insight.
- Promote a culture where architecture enables teams, reduces complexity, and accelerates delivery rather than imposing constraints.
Technology & Practices
Work extensively with Azure services and cloud-native patterns, applying best practices in governance, configuration management, and integration design. Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including data flows, integration views, and architecture diagrams.
