Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive testing strategies and methodologies.
- Assist lead engineers or architects in building and deploying test automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines while maintaining coverage during application changes.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to interpret requirements, define acceptance conditions, and evaluate test feasibility.
- Create test cases based on defined scenarios.
- Conduct root cause investigations for test failures and lead corrective actions.
- Perform exploratory and negative testing to uncover edge-case issues.
- Detect, assess, and record software defects with clarity in coordination with developers.
- Carry out API testing both manually and through automation as required.
- Collect and maintain data related to test setup and execution as necessary.
- Develop automation scripts using tools such as Selenium with C# or Java.
- Guide and train junior automation engineers by sharing expertise and proven methods.
- Utilize test management platforms including Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally as needed.
- Promote high standards in test automation and help foster a team-wide commitment to quality.
- Improve automation frameworks continuously for better performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
- Run, monitor, and report automation test results and coverage metrics across various environments.
