About the Role
The individual in this position will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues
- Ensure software meets defined quality and performance criteria
- Participate in agile development cycles and team ceremonies
- Improve testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage
- Validate backend and frontend components across multiple platforms
- Monitor production behavior and support post-release validation
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Evaluate risks and prioritize testing efforts accordingly
- Verify API behavior and integration points
- Support cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
- Assess user experience and functional accuracy
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
- Provide feedback on product design from a quality perspective
- Ensure compliance with product requirements and specifications
- Work with test environments and configuration management
- Assist in defining quality metrics and reporting progress
- Promote a culture of quality across the development lifecycle
