Responsibilities
- Advocate for team objectives and core values, ensuring all activities align with the department's mission
- Assess practicality of solutions by analyzing problem definitions, requirements, and potential approaches
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, project leads, QA teams, and stakeholders to build scalable software following industry standards
- Guide junior engineers in applying sound design principles and effective development techniques
- Ensure code deliverables are thoroughly reviewed, documented, and unit tested before QA handoff
- Design and implement software solutions by defining system specifications, standards, and coding approaches
- Create clear technical documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, and annotated code
- Enhance system performance through analysis and suggestions for process and policy improvements
- Maintain professional communication with colleagues and external partners
- Engage in technical review sessions both internally and with external parties as needed
- Perform additional assigned tasks and contribute to ad hoc projects
