Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Python technologies including Django and FastAPI.
- Integrate real-time capabilities and asynchronous workflows using WebSockets and Redis to improve system responsiveness.
- Guide the backend team by assigning tasks, aligning development activities, and ensuring on-time delivery of robust features.
- Offer technical guidance by mentoring less experienced engineers, reviewing code thoroughly, and promoting strong software engineering standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers, frontend developers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, establish technical specs, and ensure cross-functional integration.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production and development issues, including performance constraints and system outages.
- Influence system architecture, design choices, and performance tuning in containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing support within an agile methodology.
- Maintain clear communication across a globally distributed engineering team using tools like Git for source control and JIRA for tracking project progress.
