As a Senior Software Engineer, Storage, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the foundational data systems that support core platform functionality. Your work will directly impact how user, listing, and financial data are stored, accessed, and protected at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of end-to-end development—designing, coding, testing, and deploying solutions for long-term data infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain frameworks that enhance monitoring, access control, and service integration for our NewSql database platform.
- Develop and operate a unified system for data schematization across multiple storage technologies, simplifying how engineers define and manage data while meeting compliance standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to understand requirements, identify dependencies, and deliver reliable, performant systems.
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of hands-on experience developing and supporting large-scale distributed systems, particularly in storage, data pipelines, or streaming platforms.
- Proven ability to navigate and contribute to complex codebases with a focus on maintainability and clarity.
- Solid background in diagnosing and resolving production issues in stateful systems.
- A commitment to writing clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in remote environments.
- A track record of driving projects to completion with minimal oversight.
Technology Environment
You’ll work with a modern stack including a distributed NewSql database, stateful Kubernetes deployments, change data capture (CDC), backup and restore systems, multi-tenancy architectures, and real-time data streaming. You’ll also contribute to tooling around service discovery, permissions, and observability.
