Responsibilities
- Develop secure software architectures and enforce best practices
- Conduct threat modeling during system design phases
- Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC
- Perform code reviews with a focus on security flaws
- Respond to security incidents and support mitigation efforts
- Design and deploy encryption, authentication, and access controls
- Evaluate third-party components for security risks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and exploits
- Create security documentation and standards
- Support compliance with data protection regulations
- Lead security training for engineering teams
- Integrate automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor systems for suspicious activity and anomalies
- Assist in penetration testing and red team exercises
- Advocate for privacy by design in product development
- Work with infrastructure teams to harden environments
- Assess cloud security configurations and policies
- Implement secure API design and usage patterns
- Track and report on security metrics and posture
