Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of anti-spam and anti-scam systems, covering research, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support.
- Take part in an on-call schedule to quickly identify and fix live system issues, while helping strengthen system dependability over time.
- Create secure and scalable platforms that allow data science teams to build, validate, and release advanced fraud detection models using call data, while respecting privacy laws and regulatory standards.
- Make autonomous technical choices while fostering team-wide design conversations that enhance system robustness, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Balance urgent fixes with long-term architectural integrity during incidents, focusing on service stability and system durability.
- Work closely with product, data science, and engineering peers to ensure technology decisions support business goals, user requirements, and strategic direction.
- Identify and promote effective software patterns, architectural practices, and design standards that can be reused across teams to improve code quality and delivery speed.
- Shape team processes by challenging misaligned proposals, flagging risks early in planning, and clearly articulating tradeoffs between business value and implementation cost.
