About the Role
This role involves building core components of the Managed Gateways platform, leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the system achieves high uptime, strong performance, and a seamless developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain distributed systems for Managed Gateways with resilience to regional and zone-level failures.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of critical features, from design to production deployment.
- Develop microservices and control-plane components for cloud and serverless gateway platforms.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable features that enhance API security and management.
- Participate in on-call duties, taking full ownership of production services and improving system reliability.
- Create automated testing frameworks, observability tools, and internal tooling to minimize operational burden.
- Support recruitment efforts and contribute to team growth through mentorship.
- Influence the technical roadmap by integrating insights from infrastructure, networking, and platform engineering.
- Operate in a fast-paced, pre-IPO environment that prioritizes innovation, stability, and customer impact.
About the Role
In this position, you will develop essential parts of the Managed Gateways platform, lead feature development from concept to production, guide technical execution, and support peer development. You will work with product managers, architects, and engineers to define technical strategy and ensure the platform meets strict reliability, performance, and usability standards.
