Responsibilities
- Deliver software solutions that directly contribute to business outcomes
- Develop and refine user-facing features in core areas such as financial management, automated tax processing, and spending tracking using Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, and TypeScript
- Work across frontend interfaces, backend services, and database layers using MySQL and Spanner for data storage
- Collaborate with product and design teams to rapidly turn concepts into production-ready features without compromising quality
- Take full ownership of features from initial planning through implementation, code review, and post-deployment monitoring
- Improve technical standards by providing thoughtful feedback during code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions
- Define and promote coding practices that enhance long-term maintainability of the codebase
- Proactively detect and resolve issues related to system performance, scalability, and uptime
- Address technical debt through practical, incremental improvements rather than theoretical refactors
- Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader for senior engineers across multiple teams
- Partner with engineering leadership on technical roadmaps, project scoping, and team development
- Support peer growth through pair programming, code reviews, and collaborative design discussions
- Demonstrate strong engineering principles including logical problem-solving, well-structured code, and sound decision-making in uncertain situations
