Modash.io is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join as an embedded engineer within our marketing team. You'll primarily work with the Discoverability team, focusing on technical projects like programmatic SEO and AI-powered content translation to drive user acquisition and visibility.
What You'll Do
- Spend 90% of your time in the Discoverability team building and maintaining programmatic SEO projects like the /find-influencers/ and /content-library/ subfolders, which contain thousands of templated pages.
- Develop free 'mini tools' such as a fake follower checker or engagement rate calculator to capture search traffic and convert users.
- Maintain and improve the automatic AI content translation system using Crowdin to amplify traffic from multiple languages.
- Spend the remaining 10% of your time on other marketing engineering needs, such as implementing location-based currency display or building lead qualification tools.
- Solve technical challenges like build and deployment speed at scale for projects generating 10,000+ static pages, manage infrastructure breadth across 15+ tools/projects, and architect solutions within memory constraints.
What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design.
- Experience with Vue or React, or a willingness to get up to speed fast.
- Comfortable with AWS, including S3 deployments and infrastructure.
- Ability to ship fast and often, finding the right project scope to deliver value without over-engineering.
- Ability to communicate well in plain English.
- Willingness to learn whatever the problem or opportunity requires.
Nice to Have
- Ability to think like a founder. Past experience building your own stuff in the context of business or marketing.
- Experience with programmatic SEO.
- Familiarity with Webflow.
- Familiarity with large-scale static site builds and incremental deployment patterns.
