We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help evolve our data infrastructure, focusing on robust, high-throughput systems that process real-time behavioral data at scale. You'll design and maintain pipelines that ingest, transform, and export vast datasets, enabling personalized experiences across thousands of digital properties.
What You’ll Do
- Build and optimize data processing systems using Python, Go, and distributed technologies to handle tens of thousands of requests per second
- Design and improve ETL workflows for large-scale data ingestion from diverse sources
- Enhance system reliability, efficiency, and autoscaling capabilities across Kubernetes-based services
- Integrate new data storage solutions and export pipelines into platforms like BigQuery using DataFlow, PySpark, and Apache Beam
- Support production systems on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring uptime and performance
- Collaborate through code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Progress from focused tasks to leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system stability
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with Python and scalable data processing systems
- Strong understanding of ETL workflows, data transformation, and optimization for specific storage backends
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous environment
- Adaptability when learning new tools, navigating complex codebases, or refining team processes
- Familiarity with Go is a plus
