About the Role
Drive adoption of genomic sequencing platforms by engaging key decision-makers in academic, clinical, and research institutions across the tri-state region.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with laboratories and healthcare organizations
- Present technical and commercial value of sequencing systems to stakeholders
- Collaborate with field applications specialists during customer evaluations
- Develop strategic account plans for high-potential institutions
- Respond to procurement inquiries and coordinate proposal development
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates
- Attend industry events and scientific conferences as a representative
- Stay current on advancements in genomics and molecular diagnostics
- Coordinate cross-functional support for customer demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts and manage procurement timelines
- Advocate for customer needs internally to support product development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical sales standards
- Track customer interactions using CRM software
- Support post-sale implementation through handoff to service teams
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in a biological science
- Prior experience selling next-generation sequencing platforms
- Existing network of contacts in the tri-state research community
- Knowledge of IVD regulations and clinical lab workflows
