About the Role

Drive adoption of genomic sequencing platforms by engaging key decision-makers in academic, clinical, and research institutions across the tri-state region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with laboratories and healthcare organizations
  • Present technical and commercial value of sequencing systems to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with field applications specialists during customer evaluations
  • Develop strategic account plans for high-potential institutions
  • Respond to procurement inquiries and coordinate proposal development
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates
  • Attend industry events and scientific conferences as a representative
  • Stay current on advancements in genomics and molecular diagnostics
  • Coordinate cross-functional support for customer demonstrations
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement timelines
  • Advocate for customer needs internally to support product development
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical sales standards
  • Track customer interactions using CRM software
  • Support post-sale implementation through handoff to service teams
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in a biological science
  • Prior experience selling next-generation sequencing platforms
  • Existing network of contacts in the tri-state research community
  • Knowledge of IVD regulations and clinical lab workflows
  • Experience with enterprise-level sales negotiations
