Responsibilities
- Analyse incoming threat signals to produce actionable intelligence products for a variety of stakeholders.
- Maintain intelligence infrastructure and automation workflows to support intelligence collection, analysis, and integration with multiple teams and systems.
- Conduct independent research on emerging threats and maintain a curated library of adversaries, TTPs, malware and campaigns applicable to Canva.
- Identify and communicate threat landscape trends to drive strategic security initiatives.
- Work closely with Detection & Response during incident investigations, threat hunts and detection development.
- Work closely with Red Team to co-design credible stealth operations and purple team exercises.
Requirements
- A strong security operations background and have at least 3-5 years hands-on experience in the areas. e.g. threat intelligence, incident response, threat hunting.
- In-depth knowledge of threat intelligence best practices with demonstrated, hands-on experience in intelligence analysis and production.
- Practical engineering skills with proven experience maintaining threat intelligence platforms and automation infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to varying technical depths and formats.
- A curious detective mindset, driven to solve complex problems with simple solutions.

Structure: The Security Group is responsible for protecting Canva systems and data from information security threats. Our teams work together, and with other groups, to deliver preventive and detective controls and processes that reduce security risk. The group runs programs across Enterprise Security, Application Security, Risk Management, and Threat Detection and Response domains. The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team is Canva’s early-warning system for security threats. We separate signal from noise to provide actionable insights that inform threat detection & hunting, incident response, adversary emulation and security strategy.
