Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain firewall policies on Palo Alto and Checkpoint virtual firewalls in cloud environments
- Tune firewall rule sets to align with organizational needs and security standards
- Enforce industry best practices in firewall setup and policy administration
- Set up and administer Prisma Access for secure remote connectivity and cloud-based security services
- Refine Prisma Access policies and system configurations for optimal performance
- Connect Prisma Access with current security systems to ensure seamless integration
- Use Strata Cloud Manager for unified control and oversight of firewall settings
- Employ Palo Alto Panorama to roll out and manage security policies across multiple firewall instances
- Administer Checkpoint Cloud environments via centralized management tools
- Process and execute firewall modification requests in accordance with change management protocols
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to firewall connectivity and access rules
- Carry out updates and improvements to firewall configurations
- Work with network and security teams on initiatives involving firewall infrastructure
- Apply Strata Cloud Manager and FireMon Security Manager for configuration tracking and compliance
- Use established tooling to streamline policy implementation and day-to-day operations
