Responsibilities
- Direct the architectural planning of secure facilities such as SCIFs, SAPFs, and other classified environments, adhering to ICD-705, UFCs, DoD, and agency-specific regulations
- Convert mission objectives and threat assessments into functional, code-compliant facility layouts with proper security adjacencies
- Integrate strict security protocols with flexible, high-performance building design strategies
- Act as a technical consultant for federal clients and accreditation authorities
- Assist in developing Construction Surveillance Plans, accreditation submissions, and secure design evaluations
- Incorporate physical security systems, secure zoning, RF shielding, acoustic controls, and TEMPEST requirements into designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fully coordinated and compliant building solutions
- Lead client engagements, design workshops, technical sessions, and internal design reviews
- Guide junior team members and promote a culture of technical rigor and teamwork
- Support federal market proposal development, business acquisition, and client relationship growth
- Disseminate secure design knowledge across the organization to improve standards and project delivery

- Balance stringent security requirements with adaptable, high-performance design solutions
- Serve as a technical advisor to Federal clients and Accrediting Officials
- Support Construction Surveillance Plans (CSPs), accreditation documentation, and secure design reviews
- Integrate requirements related to physical security systems, secure zones, RF shielding, acoustics, and TEMPEST
- Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated, compliant design solutions
- Lead client meetings, design charrettes, technical workshops, and internal reviews
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
- Support Federal business development, proposal efforts, and client relationship development
- Share expertise across the firm to strengthen secure design standards and delivery

- Must be a licensed architect
- Requires knowledge of ICD-705, UFC 4-010-05, and accreditation processes
- Must navigate complex security requirements for Federal and Intelligence Community clients
- Supports Construction Surveillance Plans (CSPs), accreditation documentation, and secure design reviews
- May require travel to various AECOM locations
- Position involves client meetings, design charrettes, and technical workshops
- Mentorship of junior staff expected
