DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Senior Scrum Master

Drive Agile Excellence and Digital Transformation

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will lead multiple scrum teams and coordinate scrum-of-scrums across high-impact digital programs. Your focus will be on enabling team effectiveness, streamlining delivery, and fostering a culture rooted in agility, innovation, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and guide agile teams through all phases of complex software development initiatives
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align team goals with business outcomes
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions
  • Identify and resolve blockers, promote problem-solving, and support conflict resolution across teams
  • Plan and adjust release schedules to accelerate value delivery and meet strategic objectives
  • Refine product backlogs in partnership with product managers to ensure clarity and prioritization
  • Optimize resource use to improve efficiency and maximize business impact
  • Develop and execute strategies to scale innovation practices across departments
  • Support capability-building through coaching, training, and professional development
  • Lead change management efforts to embed new ways of working and sustain transformation
  • Monitor program risks, dependencies, and constraints, escalating when necessary
  • Contribute to governance, KPI tracking, and post-implementation reviews to measure success
  • Stay current with technology trends, regulatory requirements, and agile best practices

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in agile coaching or scrum mastery, with at least 1 to 3 years leading teams through time-sensitive initiatives. A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should hold or be pursuing relevant certifications and demonstrate ongoing professional development.

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid model, combining in-office and remote collaboration. Virtual interviews require camera use, and AI-assisted tools are not permitted during the hiring process.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Targeted pay range: $95,200 – $158,800 annually
