Role Overview
The Senior Sales Engineer serves as a bridge between technical expertise and business outcomes, working closely with sales teams to identify and convert client opportunities. This role demands a strong foundation in cybersecurity, with the ability to engage stakeholders at both technical and strategic levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in sales discussions, client meetings, and virtual presentations to demonstrate product capabilities and value
- Deliver clear, tailored demonstrations of security solutions using platforms such as WebEx
- Collaborate with potential clients to understand their unique challenges and align them with appropriate technical solutions
- Support participation in industry events, conferences, and trade shows as a technical representative
- Lead proof-of-concept deployments and assist with post-sale implementation when required
- Work collaboratively within a sales team while also exercising independent judgment in client engagements
- Help shape go-to-market strategies and refine sales approaches based on technical insights
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Experience leading technical discussions with senior stakeholders and facilitating group decision-making
- Strong customer-focused approach with a history of influencing sales outcomes through consultative engagement
- Skilled at translating enterprise-level security requirements into comprehensive, actionable solutions
- Capable of managing expectations and guiding clients through complex solution evaluations
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, team-based environments with overlapping priorities
- Familiarity with matrix organizational structures and cross-functional collaboration
- In-depth knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Network Security, Endpoint Security, Security Consulting, Incident Response, Threat Detection, or Managed Security Services
- Understanding of how different security technologies integrate and interact across enterprise environments
- Experience applying structured methodologies to solution design and deployment
