AECOM is hiring a Senior Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines
  • Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges
  • Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance
  • Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
  • Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects
  • Proven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes
  • Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills
  • Strong technical report writing and communication abilities
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and implement innovative solutions
