Shape the future of industrial automation by designing and building embedded software for distributed control systems. You'll work across the entire development lifecycle—from analyzing customer needs to testing and validating robust solutions that meet strict safety and quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain software for industrial process automation systems, including new product creation and enhancements to existing platforms
- Translate customer requirements into high-quality designs and efficient code, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Apply expertise in C, C++, and C# to deliver reliable, performance-optimized solutions on embedded systems
- Collaborate in an agile environment while applying structured development methods such as the V-model where appropriate
- Stay current with evolving technologies and tools, contributing to continuous improvement in product quality and team efficiency
- Support colleagues and projects through technical guidance and peer reviews
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or electrical engineering—or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of five years in software development, ideally within industrial automation or R&D for embedded systems
- Strong understanding of hardware-integrated software architectures and real-time operating systems
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps or Azure DevOps Services
- Fluency in German (written and spoken) and strong command of English
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset with excellent communication abilities
Preferred Knowledge
- Familiarity with Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols such as Profinet or Modbus TCP
