Lead the execution of critical data projects within a high-impact environment, reporting to the Vice President of Data Engineering. This role is responsible for guiding project teams through the full lifecycle of delivery, applying Agile, traditional, or hybrid methodologies based on project needs. Success requires strategic oversight, adaptability, and a clear focus on alignment with organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct project teams with tailored delivery frameworks to meet timelines, scope, and quality expectations
- Facilitate Scrum rituals and drive resolution of impediments to maintain team velocity
- Partner with leadership to shape long-term data strategy and identify business value opportunities
- Maintain clear visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio
- Define and communicate release plans, including epics and deliverable features
- Develop and refine user stories to ensure shared understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks while keeping stakeholders informed of potential impacts
- Support team growth through coaching in Agile practices, emerging tools, and delivery excellence
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and project outcomes
- Adapt plans dynamically in response to shifting priorities and evolving requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in project management and Scrum Master roles, with focus on data, technology, or development projects
- Proven ability to influence across all organizational levels and lead with executive presence
- Strong command of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban, with experience shaping requirements in iterative environments
- Proficiency in Jira (including board and workflow setup) and Smartsheets for planning and tracking
- Experience with MeisterPlan or similar resource management platforms
- Hands-on use of generative AI tools in project or team support contexts
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in distributed or remote team settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, analyze complex situations, and maintain delivery commitments
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in healthcare
- Exposure to Product Management in technology-driven environments
- Healthcare domain experience, particularly in provider data, automation, or training systems
- Certifications such as CSM or CSPO are strongly preferred
- Project Management certification or proven leadership of large, complex, high-risk initiatives
- Familiarity with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Data Science workflows, and Snowflake
