Responsibilities
- Adapts project management approaches to fit team and project needs by combining agile practices with structured planning methods.
- Quickly learns technical services offered by IT and contributes effectively to coordination and communication around them.
- Bridges communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Contributes to the creation and refinement of project management practices within the department.
- Leads project teams, drives motivation, and ensures high-quality project delivery.
- Manages project scope, budget, and schedule, assessing impacts when changes occur.
- Identifies potential risks and issues early, and develops proactive mitigation and contingency strategies.
- Applies analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge to overcome project challenges.
- Communicates project updates clearly to team members, internal clients, and management, including sensitive topics with tact.
- Influences key decisions, secures stakeholder alignment, and negotiates resources, scope, and deadlines.
- Oversees external contractors and consultants, ensuring adherence to budget and contractual agreements.
- Evaluates project requirements and workflows to ensure clarity and efficiency.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and leads efforts to standardize, simplify, and enhance processes.
- Applies strong analytical judgment to solve problems and take full ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Takes end-to-end ownership of IT projects, holding team members accountable and keeping stakeholders informed of progress and results.
