Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio that spans both mobile-first consumer apps and complex B2B or enterprise tools
- proven experience designing 0→1 products in early-stage, fast-paced environments
- demonstrated ability to own product design end-to-end — from discovery through polished execution
- comfortable working as a solo designer without a team around you, and effective at prioritizing your own work
- confident collaborating across departments and presenting design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- deep empathy for end users — students navigating a complex process, and university staff managing operations
- strong systems thinking with the ability to simplify complex workflows through intuitive UX
- clear communicator who advocates for design and brings clarity to cross-functional collaboration
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for AI-powered tools or workflow automation platforms
- Familiarity with higher education, particularly enrollment, transfer admissions, or SIS/CRM integration design patterns
- Experience building or contributing to a design system from scratch
- Interest in eventually building and leading a small design team as EdVisorly grows
