About the Role

This position serves as a key legal advisor on data privacy matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations and supporting business operations through proactive risk management and policy development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on international data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Advise internal teams on lawful processing of personal data across regions
  • Support development and implementation of data protection policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments on privacy impact assessments
  • Interpret evolving privacy laws and translate requirements into operational practices
  • Assist in managing data subject rights requests and related compliance obligations
  • Review contracts involving data processing activities for regulatory alignment
  • Support incident response related to data breaches or unauthorized disclosures
  • Lead privacy training and awareness programs across the organization
  • Work closely with compliance and information security teams on integrated risk strategies
  • Monitor regulatory developments in key jurisdictions including the EU, US, and Asia
  • Ensure adherence to standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and other regional privacy laws
  • Guide product development teams on privacy-by-design principles
  • Manage relationships with external privacy advisors and consultants
  • Maintain documentation required for accountability under data protection laws
  • Support audits and assessments related to data handling practices
  • Advocate for responsible data use across business functions
  • Help align internal practices with evolving compliance expectations
  • Draft and update privacy notices and disclosures for various stakeholders
  • Serve as a point of contact for privacy-related inquiries from internal clients
