Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud systems using Kubernetes and Pulumi with Go, aligned with UK government and Ministry of Defence security standards
- Support security operations for Game Warden in isolated and classified networks, collaborating with government and security teams
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that embed security practices across the development lifecycle
- Operate and integrate SIEM and security tools to ensure system visibility and regulatory compliance
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot microservices in Go, prioritizing performance, security, and modular design
- Partner across teams to evaluate infrastructure needs, set priorities, and advance product goals in an Agile setting
- Produce comprehensive documentation for systems and processes to support secure, auditable, and repeatable deployments
- Engage directly with UK defence and government entities to deliver secure cloud infrastructure meeting accreditation requirements
- Support research and development to enhance platform functionality in disconnected and secure environments
- Serve as a senior technical advisor shaping UK DevSecOps strategy and infrastructure standards

Security Clearance Requirement
Applicants must hold or be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. UK nationality or qualifying dual nationality is required, along with sufficient UK residency history. Active DV clearance is strongly preferred. Clearance eligibility is mandatory due to work in classified and air-gapped environments.
Location
Primarily remote within the UK, with regular travel to customer and partner sites such as Northwood and Corsham Defence Campus. Occasional visits to other UK government locations are required. On-site presence is necessary for work in accredited, classified facilities.
