About the Role
The role involves managing end-to-end payroll operations for assigned regions, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for employees in multiple countries according to local regulations
- Verify payroll data inputs including hours, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with regional labor laws and tax requirements
- Support audit preparations and provide required payroll documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee payroll information
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Assist in the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades
- Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries
- Manage year-end payroll reporting and filings
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay statements and deductions
- Coordinate with external vendors and payroll providers
- Track and report on payroll metrics and key performance indicators
- Support onboarding and offboarding payroll setup for new and departing employees
- Stay current on changes in employment legislation affecting payroll
