Responsibilities

  • Manage operations for the Royal Canadian Navy's Distributed Mission Operations Centre and Fleet Synthetic Training systems.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Fleet Synthetic Training strategies, concepts, and experimental initiatives.
  • Advance Fleet Synthetic Training capabilities by assessing emerging simulation technologies aligned with naval training goals.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of training exercises, trials, testing, and evaluations for Fleet Synthetic Training.
  • Support the delivery of training sessions and demonstrations involving the Distributed Mission Operations Centre and synthetic training platforms.
  • Possibly take on the duties of DMOC Manager, including overseeing daily operations and personnel coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RCN (Royal Canadian Navy) DMOC (Distributed Mission Operations Centre) and FST (Fleet Synthetic Training) system management services.
  • Support RCN FST strategy, concepts, experimentation and capability development.
  • Support RCN FST technology development through the identification, analysis, and evaluation of new simulation products to support RCN training objectives.
  • Support RCN FST exercises, trials, tests and evaluations.
  • Assist with the delivery of exercise training and demonstrations related to the DMOC and FST.
  • May be required to assume the role of the DMOC Manager. Their responsibilities include managing the day-to-day activities of various personnel.
