Lyft was looking for a Senior ML Software Engineer, Mapping

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and business teams to implement machine learning solutions with measurable impact.
  • Conduct data exploration and develop proof-of-concept prototypes to identify viable ML approaches for new or existing challenges.
  • Create statistical, optimization, or machine learning models tailored to specific use cases.
  • Develop robust, production-grade code to deploy and scale ML systems effectively.
  • Assess performance of machine learning models in alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in machine learning.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, or similar languages.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English.
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques, including supervised learning, forecasting, recommendation engines, reinforcement learning, and multi-armed bandits.
