Stryker Corporation is hiring a Senior Manager, Workplace Operations GSA and EEMEA

Lead and optimize workplace operations across the Germany, Switzerland, Austria (GSA), and EEMEA regions by managing facilities, infrastructure, and service delivery. This role ensures operational excellence through strategic oversight of building systems, vendor performance, and space utilization while aligning with corporate real estate goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct regional teams of facilities and engineering specialists, providing leadership in maintenance, space planning, workplace services, and operational continuity.
  • Ensure facilities support business objectives through compliance with EHS, building codes, and sustainability practices.
  • Design and implement space management strategies that improve efficiency, adaptability, and occupancy planning across multiple locations.
  • Manage third-party providers for janitorial, catering, security, maintenance, and infrastructure services, ensuring service quality and contract adherence.
  • Support real estate initiatives including relocations, expansions, consolidations, and renovations, coordinating cross-functionally to minimize disruption.
  • Oversee operating and capital budgets—tracking variances, forecasting spend, and delivering regional financial reporting.
  • Enhance facility performance through preventive maintenance, refurbishment programs, and adoption of industry best practices.
  • Lead hiring, coaching, and team development while fostering an inclusive, responsive, and customer-focused culture.
  • Maintain relationships with landlords, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless site operations.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field, with over 10 years of progressive leadership in facilities operations. Experience managing remote, cross-functional teams is essential, along with deep knowledge of building systems, project management, and financial modeling.

Proven ability to develop business cases, manage vendor partnerships, and present strategic initiatives to senior leaders is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; German proficiency is strongly preferred. Industry certifications such as IFMA, BOMA, or LEED are advantageous, as is background in medical technology or life sciences.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based in Poland, with flexibility to work remotely for most of the time and occasional office presence. Approximately 50% travel is expected across the region.
