About the Role
This position leads operational functions for large, multi-faceted programs, ensuring effective implementation, performance tracking, and continuous improvement. The individual will manage teams, optimize workflows, and support client objectives through data-driven decision-making and strong leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of operational activities across diverse projects
- Oversee team performance and ensure accountability for deliverables
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency
- Monitor program performance using key metrics and reporting tools
- Coordinate with client stakeholders to align operations with project goals
- Manage resource allocation to support project timelines and budgets
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for operational challenges
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Drive process improvements using data analysis and feedback loops
- Support business development through operational insights and past performance input
- Lead onboarding and training for new team members
- Foster collaboration between technical and administrative teams
- Prepare executive-level summaries and operational briefings
- Maintain documentation for operational procedures and workflows
- Guide teams through change management during program transitions
- Ensure consistent application of quality assurance standards
- Manage vendor relationships and subcontractor performance
- Support financial oversight including budget tracking and forecasting
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning
- Respond to client inquiries and escalations related to operations
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in business, public policy, or related discipline
- PMP or other relevant professional certification
- Experience in remote team leadership
- Background in healthcare, energy, or public sector programs
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR)
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems
- Familiarity with agile or lean management practices
- Track record of managing geographically dispersed teams
- Experience supporting international projects
- Advanced presentation and storytelling skills
