Responsibilities
- Create and oversee the yearly Channel and Customer Investment plan, pinpointing strategic investment areas and defining financial boundaries in collaboration with Revenue Growth Management and Finance teams.
- Enhance returns on customer-facing spending, including trade investments, promotional activities, pricing strategies, product assortment, and in-store presentation.
- Oversee customer profitability by managing channel and customer segmentation, addressing value leakage, and identifying high-return opportunities.
- Optimize trade spend by allocating and funding trade and promotional budgets that align with strategic goals beyond volume growth.
- Promote data-driven decisions through standardized post-event evaluations and scenario modeling to assess investment options.
- Monitor leading performance indicators to enable proactive adjustments, not just final period outcomes.
- Establish governance and controls by defining approval workflows for customer investments, ensuring adherence to pricing and trade policies, and providing transparency via consistent reporting and dashboards.
- Strengthen team capabilities through training in ROI-focused thinking and financial literacy, while continuously improving tools, models, and operational practices.
