In this role, you'll drive measurable expansion in key urban markets by developing and executing strategies that strengthen merchant networks, enhance customer experience, and scale marketplace dynamics.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement city-specific growth plans that address unique market conditions, focusing on supply depth, demand acceleration, and operational efficiency
- Turn complex data sets into strategic direction—using analytics, first-principles reasoning, and marketplace behavior to guide investment and prioritization
- Design and manage experiments in pricing, product positioning, and value propositions, iterating quickly to validate impact
- Collaborate with teams in Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance to align on goals, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure customer and merchant needs are central to strategy
- Assess financial and strategic outcomes of initiatives, working closely with Analytics and Finance to measure ROI and refine resource allocation
What We’re Looking For
- 10 or more years in strategy, operations, consulting, or marketplace-focused roles with a history of scaling growth in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Proven ability to lead without direct authority, influencing outcomes across functions and levels
- Strong analytical foundation—comfortable diving into granular data, building dashboards, and driving experimentation at speed
- Sound business judgment with an instinct for capital efficiency and long-term marketplace health
- Resilience and initiative in ambiguous, fast-moving settings—someone who thrives on action and learning through iteration
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne or Sydney, requiring in-office presence three days per week with flexibility for remote work the remaining two. You’ll operate in a culture that values speed, empathy for all marketplace participants, and inclusive collaboration.
