Lead the strategic expansion of a large-scale fiber network initiative, overseeing engineering, construction planning, and vendor coordination across a multi-billion-dollar deployment. This role is central to advancing network infrastructure that supports high-speed broadband access for millions of premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end planning and execution of fiber network builds, including design, wire center development, and outside plant deployment
- Supervise engineering teams and external service providers, ensuring alignment on build timelines, technical standards, and resource allocation
- Coordinate performance and capacity planning with OEMs and infrastructure partners to maintain build momentum
- Collaborate with product and go-to-market teams to align network capabilities with new service offerings
- Support regulatory and government engagement related to fiber deployment at state and local levels
- Assist in securing public funding by contributing to applications for federal, state, and municipal broadband grants
- Guide the development of digital systems for network inventory, construction tracking, and engineering workflows
- Champion operational efficiency, workforce development, and a culture of accountability and inclusion
- Foster open communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across technical and business units
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management and bring substantial experience in telecommunications infrastructure, particularly in large-scale fiber deployments. Proven leadership in managing vendor networks and engineering teams is essential. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities are required to navigate complex technical and operational challenges.
A master’s degree in Engineering or Telecommunications is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to process improvement, customer-focused solutions, and inclusive leadership.
