About the Role

Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance and operational risk management frameworks. Ensures alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives while managing a team of compliance professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the execution of compliance monitoring and testing activities across business units
  • Oversees the identification, assessment, and reporting of operational risks
  • Manages the maintenance and enhancement of ORM program infrastructure
  • Coordinates compliance audits and follow-up actions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develops and delivers risk and compliance training programs for employees
  • Prepares detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Ensures timely remediation of compliance findings and audit issues
  • Collaborates with legal and regulatory teams to interpret new and evolving regulations
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting financial services
  • Leads process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of compliance operations
  • Supervises a team of compliance and risk management professionals
  • Establishes key risk indicators and performance metrics for ORM programs
  • Supports incident management and loss event reporting processes
  • Drives a risk-aware culture across the organization
  • Manages documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Oversees vendor compliance assessments and due diligence processes
  • Works with technology teams to implement compliance monitoring tools
  • Ensures consistency in risk classification and reporting methodologies
  • Conducts root cause analyses for compliance breaches or control failures
  • Provides guidance on regulatory expectations during business transformation initiatives
  • Participates in crisis management and business continuity planning
  • Supports regulatory examinations and inquiries
  • Promotes ethical conduct and regulatory adherence across departments
  • Evaluates emerging risks related to digital banking and fintech innovations
  • Maintains strong communication channels with compliance units in other regions
