Responsibilities
- Directs the preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Examines and authorizes major accounting estimates and handles complex financial transactions.
- Supports updates to accounting policies within assigned areas, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards through effective controls and accurate general ledger reconciliations.
- Develops and tracks financial forecasts, budgets, and spending plans, including coordination of variance analysis and cost allocation projects.
- Evaluates financial performance using trend analysis and data analytics, offering insights and collaborating with department leaders to enhance operational efficiency.
- Leads the annual external audit process for financial statements.
- Promotes ongoing improvements in accounting operations and proposes process enhancements to senior finance leadership.
- Executes full managerial duties such as recruiting, training, supervising staff, assigning tasks, ensuring equal employment opportunity, managing performance, and overseeing department budgets, potentially including supervision of other accounting managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of six years of relevant accounting experience
- Comprehensive understanding of core accounting functions
- Advanced financial analysis capabilities at a managerial level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage diverse teams
- Proven ability to create and manage financial forecasts and budgets
- High level of proficiency with computers and financial software systems, with preference for SAP
- Fluency in English and the primary local language of the assigned region

- CPA certification and background in manufacturing accounting
