Kyowa Kirin is hiring a Senior Maintenance and Utilities Technician

About the Role

The individual will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on plant utility systems and production equipment, ensuring continuous and compliant operation in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility utility systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in production equipment
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
  • Respond to equipment failures and perform emergency repairs
  • Support validation activities for utility systems and equipment
  • Conduct inspections and tests on critical infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on system improvements
  • Follow standard operating procedures and documentation practices
  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Operate and maintain HVAC, compressed air, and water purification systems
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems for work orders
  • Ensure spare parts and tools are available and properly stored
  • Adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments
  • Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Train junior technicians on maintenance procedures
  • Assist with facility upgrades and capital projects
  • Maintain calibration records for critical instruments
  • Work under minimal supervision on complex technical tasks
  • Escalate technical issues when necessary
  • Ensure cleanroom utility systems function within specifications
  • Follow change control processes for system modifications
