H&M Group is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development of AI and machine learning products, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on schedule.
  • Guide technical architecture choices and shape the long-term product strategy and roadmap.
  • Maintain high standards for product performance, security, and reliability using established engineering practices.
  • Detect potential risks and interdependencies, and coordinate with related teams to ensure roadmap execution.
  • Support and mentor software engineers to advance their technical skills and strengthen team collaboration.
  • Contribute to organizational efforts such as hiring, onboarding, and knowledge sharing within the machine learning engineering function.
  • Help refine internal workflows, tools, and best practices across the product team and broader engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks and development tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and development workflows, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform and experience using VertexAI for machine learning.
  • Proven experience with MLOps practices, including testing, monitoring, and managing incidents to maintain system stability.
  • Solid background in system design, architectural patterns, performance tuning, and security for AI/ML systems.
  • Strong analytical and debugging abilities to resolve software and data-related issues efficiently.

  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, influence decisions, and align technical work with strategic objectives.
  • Skill in jointly developing realistic product roadmaps and proactively identifying risks and dependencies.
  • Experience engaging with business partners to interpret requirements and convert them into technical implementations.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Track record of driving innovation to improve product capabilities, streamline processes, and accelerate delivery.
