Responsibilities
- Designing and constructing level layouts with extensive iteration through playtesting and feedback integration
- Working closely with artists to align level aesthetics with gameplay functionality and engagement
- Partnering with design and programming teams to maximize fun and implement new features in levels
- Taking full ownership of levels from initial concept and whitebox through scripting, iteration, debugging, and optimization to final delivery
- Leading or overseeing the work of established Strike Teams
- Identifying, resolving, and documenting bugs with detailed case studies in the knowledge base
- Mentoring and transferring knowledge to junior or less experienced team members
- Supporting recruitment initiatives in coordination with HR and the team lead as needed
- Assisting in onboarding newly hired staff when required
- Spending the majority of time—approximately 80%—working directly within the game engine
