Responsibilities
- Create and deploy reliable, real-time embedded software frameworks from inception and define coding standards for team-wide adoption.
- Build low-level drivers and control logic for essential printing components such as stepper and DC motors, thermal print heads, and full print engine systems.
- Work closely with hardware and manufacturing engineers during early design phases to enable firmware that supports efficient production testing, calibration, and high manufacturing yields.
- Lead rapid prototyping efforts to evaluate new product ideas, features, and hardware, while providing technical mentorship to strengthen team expertise.
- Develop telemetry, logging, and remote monitoring systems to proactively assess device performance and troubleshoot complex field issues.
- Shape the technical vision, assign and oversee engineering tasks, and advance the overall skill level of the firmware development team.
